vlada roslyakova for numéro
As a lover of color, composition, and detail, I have to say that this editorial does not disappoint. An array of lighting and saturation effects give each photograph a unique look, but the splotches of similar-colored light as well as the stark white garments tie the photo shoot together. Model Vlada Roslyakova wears each avant-garde piece well, and the more traditional-looking clothing looks anything but contrived; Roslyakova really works each outfit, adding to the fresh perspective of the shoot. As for detail, the textures and patterns almost feel tangible, the airy ruffles and snowflake-lace heavenly and divine. The styling of this shoot really finishes it off, however: Roslyakova’s magenta eyeshadow and sculpted strawberry-blonde locks are absolutely spot-on. Possibly one of my favorite editorials.
